URLs in LinkedIn First Comment Feature Published as Plain Text (Not Clickable)

New
Bug Report Fabian Sude Fabian Sude · 3 days ago

Steps to reproduce

  1. Create a new post in Mixpost and select a LinkedIn account.
  2. Enable the First Comment option.
  3. Paste a standard URL/hyperlink (e.g., https://example.com) into the First Comment input field (the editor recognizes it as a link).
  4. Publish or schedule the post.
  5. Once published, check the first comment directly on LinkedIn.

Expected behavior

The URL in the first comment should be automatically converted into a clickable hyperlink on LinkedIn.

Actual behavior

The URL is posted as unlinked plain text. Users cannot click on the link directly within LinkedIn's comment section.

Please check whether URLs in first comments are correctly converted into clickable links on Facebook and Instagram as well.

Environment

Mixpost Version: 7.0.4.0
PHP Version: 8.3.35
Laravel Version: 13.35.0
Horizon: 5.50.0.0
MySql: 8.0.32
Browser: Chrome
Channel / Network: LinkedIn (Personal Profile AND Company Page)

i just figured out that this bug might be related to the other reported bug (Attached Images in First Comment Are Not Rendered / Published) as the publishing of links in the first comment works fine when there aren't any pictures published to the comment at the same time.

Hope this helps =)
